About Shannon

I was born a poor hillbilly in the Ozark mountains of Arkansas and raised in New York City. I am one of the few Americans to have a European airport and a river named after me. I like tuna fish. I also like Shiraz and Guinness. While I have photographed for Harpers Bazaar, Glamour Magazine, and Conde Nast Traveller, it was not until I shot for the New York Times that my family and friends realized that I was a photographer and not just a man preoccupied with trains entering and leaving Paddington Station. I also love traffic lights, particularly when they are red.
